History of the organization

Dhaka is a district in the southern part of Bangladesh under the Dhaka division. The present-day Dhaka city was the capital of the independent sultans of Bengal during their reign. It even served as the capital for three years from 1484 AD (1889 AD) during the reign of Sultan Saifuddin Firoz Shah Malik. Settlement began in this land that emerged from the Bay of Bengal towards the end of the 14th century AD. Through various victories and defeats, gradually acquired the name Dhaka . Perhaps, this name was given after a saint named Dhaka during the reign of Sher Shah or in the contemporary era. Education is the backbone of the nation and the educational field is the factory that makes the backbone. That is why the journey of  PUT in the traditional Dhaka district on November 1, 2002 with the naming and inauguration ceremony of the District Council Auditorium and all the activities of the University and the University started from January 1, 2003. As the institution’s own campus and educational activities were improved, it received government approval on August 7, 2008. In order to make cadet education a reality in a private way, PUT continued its existence and activities in Dhaka the first in Bangladesh to provide cadet education privately. According to the Cadet University  Ordinance of 1964, the Cadet University   is committed to fulfilling the following responsibilities and duties as an autonomous residential educational institution. (Although PUT  is private, it is being operated under the said ordinance) A. To provide a fair liberal public school education. B. To provide primary self-defense training. C. To impart education in all branches of education in which the Cadet College deems it necessary and appropriate to impart education. d. Other activities and subjects necessary for the expansion of the aims of the University as an educational institution. Analyzing the above-mentioned activities, it can be seen that the Cadet College is an educational institution dedicated to the nation to achieve a larger goal at the secondary and University levels. In a word, this educational institution takes all kinds of steps for the sound development of the physical, mental, moral, social and religious qualities of a teenager.
